History of DEEPAL China

DEEPAL is one of the pioneering car brands in China’s new energy vehicle (NEV) sector and the first NEV brand of Changan Automobile. Founded in 1862, Changan Automobile is one of the top four automobile groups in China, boasting a rich heritage of 162 years. 

 

Committed to technological innovation, Changan has established a global research and development (R&D) layout comprising six countries and ten centres, including China, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Italy. DEEPAL’s R&D capabilities have been recognised as the top in the Chinese automotive field for 14 consecutive years by the National Enterprise Technology Centre, supported by a dedicated engineering and technical team of over 17,000 professionals from around the world. In 2022, the DEEPAL brand was officially introduced to the public in China, following the establishment of a new energy technology company in 2017.

 

The name ‘DEEPAL’ signifies the end of the sea and the universe, symbolising a harmonious relationship between technology and humanity.
